Dual Enrollment
Get a head start on college by earning credits before you even graduate high school with dual enrollment courses.
What is Dual Enrollment?
Dual enrollment programs provide students in grades 7–12 with the opportunity to earn both college and high school credits simultaneously by taking courses offered by participating colleges and universities. These programs aim to challenge students academically and offer a range of options suited to those prepared for college-level coursework. Through dual enrollment, students can engage with advanced subjects, experience college expectations firsthand, and potentially reduce the time required to complete a degree.
As a Christian school that values the importance of a education from a Biblical worldview, we strongly encourage students to consider Christian colleges and universities offering dual enrollment options. In Ohio, institutions like Ohio Christian University and Cedarville University participate in the College Credit Plus program, allowing students to pursue dual enrollment with a Christian foundation.
For more details on dual enrollment expectations, please consult the WCS Academic Handbook.
How Much do Dual enrollment courses Cost?
The State of Ohio’s College Credit Plus program allocates funding to cover tuition costs for non-public students enrolled in dual enrollment courses. As a result, students are only responsible for the cost of textbooks for courses taken on an Ohio college or university campus or online. All public colleges and many private institutions in Ohio participate in this program, offering students access to a wide range of dual enrollment opportunities.
