EDCHOICE SCHOLARSHIP

A private Christian education at Wayside Christian School is now an option for any family.

WHAT is the edchoice scholarship?

The Ohio EdChoice Scholarship provides families with a scholarship which can cover up to 100% of tuition at Wayside Christian School. There are two types of scholarships, the Expansion Scholarship which is income-based and available to ALL families in the state of Ohio, and the Traditional Scholarship based on the current school building performance.

Students who would attend the following public school buildings are eligible for 2024-2025 Traditional EdChoice Scholarship:

  • Crestline High School (6-12)
  • George Washington Elementary (K-5)
  • Harding High School (9-12)
  • James A. Garfield Elementary (K-5)
  • Rutherford B Hayes Elementary (K-5)
  • Ulysses S. Grant Middle School (6-8)
  • William H. Taft Elementary (K-5)
  • William McKinley Elementary School (K-5)

All other families may apply for the EdChoice Expansion Scholarship. Once a student is enrolled, the scholarship is good for the child’s entire school career.

How Much is the scholarship worth?

The scholarship amount varies on a sliding scale. Everyone receives some level of funding. Families with income at or below 450% of the Federal Poverty Level are eligible for the maximum amount which would cover 100% of WCS tuition. For a family of four, that would mean that your household income could be up to $140,400 and you would qualify for the full award amount. Families with incomes above the 450% qualify at a pro-rated amount.

With Edchoice, you can afford a quality christian education!

We’re excited about the opportunity available to families like yours, who for the first time have the option to choose a school for your child.
